Part of developing an effective business network involves knowing the wonderful local business advantages we have right here in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. You can’t discuss business venues for very long without mentioning our awesome beach destinations. There are so many to choose from, and we’d like to highlight some of our favorites.
Top Sarasota Area Beach Destinations
These four locations are among the most gorgeous in all of Florida.
Siesta Key
Siesta Key receives national acclaim as one of the top beaches in America. This is one of the larger keys, and to its southern side, you’ll find the famous Turtle Beach with 2,600 square feet of beach access. As the name implies, it has loads of turtles, more than 40 campsites, and infinite sunshine.
In 2020, Trip Adviser ranked Siesta Beach (part of Siesta Key) as the best in the U.S., and 11th best in the world.

Lido Key
If you’re after a somewhat quieter, perhaps less expensive, version of Siesta Key, then look no further than Lido Key. This beach destination has tons of opportunities for deep-sea fishing, fine dining, and some of the whitest sands in the world.
Nearby Bird Key and St. Armand’s Key are also terrific choices with not too many tourists during certain times of the year.
Longboat Key
This key covers a long stretch of beach land between the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. Coquina Beach (slightly north of it) garners a 4.8-star rating out of more than 5,000 reviews on Google Reviews.
There are numerous opportunities to take a break from work and enjoy golfing, paddle-boarding, snorkeling, luxury resorts, manatee-watching, and other sightseeing.
Anna Maria Island
This gorgeous spot separates from Longboat Key via the Longboat Pass. It derives its namesake from both the Blessed Virgin Mary and her mother Ann. It’s a terrific place to watch bottlenose dolphins, stay in luxury high-rise condos, and enjoy immaculate turquoise ocean scenery.
They’re also plenty of nice places for seafood dining such as Rod and Reel Pier, The Ugly Grouper, and Lobstahs.
Hopefully, this snapshot of these powder-sanded, pristine beaches gives you even more motivation to move to or visit this terrific Florida treasure. Words can’t really do it justice. It’s worth touring the area at least once while you’re pondering your next big business endeavor.
